Cherish the little wins

“I’ve found that small wins, small projects, small differences often make huge differences.” -Rosabeth Moss Kanter

When things don’t seem to be going right. Nothing seems to be working. When your life doesn’t seem on track. Cherish the little wins you have on a daily basis.

Maybe you finished work 15 minutes early. Someone emailed you back after not responding for weeks or months. You were the first person to demo a new product. Whatever it may be remember these small wins.

They’re important. Overtime, they’ll add up. Most days we’re not even aware of the wins we have. Be more aware when something good happens to you, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem in the moment. You need these small wins to help you build momentum.

This momentum will carry you to big wins. Overtime the small wins do matter. It’s not just the fact of being more aware that you’re winning but the act of being proud of what you’re accomplishing. What you do in life matters. It does make a difference on people’s lives and your own life.

Throughout each day track how many small wins you have, no matter how insignificant they may seem. If you can’t think of any throughout the day, sit down at the end of each day and think of at least 3 wins.

Be grateful for where you are and what you’re doing. Don’t get stuck in the past or live in the future. Live in this moment. This moment is what matters.

You are successful. You are accomplishing something each day. Remember that. Small wins add up. They do matter.
