No matter what your occupation is, think about the positive impact your products will have on your customers. Your intention should be to helping your customers improve. Helping them become more efficient and ultimately make their daily lives easier.
It goes beyond that though. It’s about helping your customers beyond their immediate needs.
Once someone buys your product, that’s just the beginning. If you want customers to remain customers, you need to go beyond the initial help.
Make sure everything is going smoothly with them. If you have to implement a product, make sure it’s being implemented successfully.
Ask them what you can do to help. Figure out where they’re struggling. Figure out where you can make the process easier. If you want long-term customers, don’t only think about the initial sale, think about their long-term value.
Change is always difficult. We’re all humans. If you can make the change easier for your customers by directly helping them with the process, they will remain loyal to you for years. They’ll shout from the rooftops about your product. They’ll tell everyone they know about how amazing your service/product is.
You want raving fans. Go beyond that initial sale and help your customers achieve their goals.
It won’t have any immediate impact but it will pay you tenfold in the future.
